what a year! my lil sweetie. she has stolen my heart. i thought that i could never love anything more than my firstborn... she has proven me wrong - i still can't believe she is mine.

i can totally feel that fall is the air. this was the first photoshoot in a while where i wasn't just dripping. max and cru were amazingly awesome, yes, tons of energy, but the goal was to be finished within a half hour so i could capture their attention before they wanted to stick their tongues at me (well... actually they did, oh well). here are some faves.

got my disc... now what?

so now you have all these lovely pictures... different angles, some of kids, individuals, just mom and dad, or a variety of wedding shots. here's what i did. i cut pieces of paper to replicate (to scale, i used cm) the collage i wanted. so i took my six different pieces of paper and played around with them on the floor, i'm not much of an interior designer but this is what i came up with, i googled "wall collages" to see other examples, too. from there i wrote what picture i wanted for each size, and then uploaded to them to my printing site that i use. you can certainly use frames, i just wanted a more gallery look.

i've been saying that i've wanted to use this blog for more than just posting client pics, and i've yet to write anything on my mind.
soooo i've really been trying to define my style. here i'll show you something that is so simple, and have given my pictures a boost. i'll take a picture that i like, play with curves (s-curve) and levels (add more blacks), warm it up, and then give it a good sharpen. wahlaaa, simple and natural. keeping things simple has really been appealing to me lately.

i love how this family loves me. last year i got invited to their birthday party and this year they wanted me to come over for dinner. sweetest kids. katherine, i would die to look like you after having 4 kids.

jordan leaves for the army on monday so i wanted to bust out some of my faves before he has to leave. i felt like i was draggin this couple all over the place, such good sports - talk about easy goin!

these have got to be the giggliest kids ever. full of energy and so loving. if anyone was paying any attention to me i probably had the cheesiest smile goin on throughout the whole shoot :)
